The Glenturret - Redefining the brand

BACKGROUND

Based in Crieff, Perthshire and formerly of the Edrington Group, Glenturret is Scotland’s oldest working distillery. Whisky is crafted there with the same traditional methods used 100 years ago.

OBJECTIVE

A defined market position was required along with a new brand mark and packaging that would bring this to life.

WHAT WE DID

We carried out research to inform unique brand positioning and proposition. This was used to define a communications platform for launching the brand across international markets. From this knowledge we created a new identity and suite of packaging. This small batch, hand crafted Single Malt range was launched to mark the distillery’s 240th anniversary. Torn edges, copper foiling and hand written labelling gives each bottle an authentic feel, reflecting the soul of the distillery. The Glenturret, By Hand and By Heart. Further to this we created a comprehensive set of guidelines to ensure that the brand was delivered in market consistently across the world.
